The LCBO is committed to continuing to support small Ontario businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we look for new ways to showcase Ontario VQA Wines to our customers, we are pleased to introduce a new tender for a pilot program specifically focused on small VQA producers. Through this program we are looking to purchase a selection of new wines (not currently available at LCBO) from small VQA producers for a seasonal duration. We will rotate the assortment twice this year giving more opportunities to small suppliers.
The program will consist of 2 turns/year with up to 9 SKUs/turn.
- Turn 1 - Spring/Summer - P1 to P6 (includes Easter)
- Turn 2 - Fall/Winter - P7 to P12 (includes Holiday)
Small wineries with annual VQA sales of 100,000 litres or less are eligible to apply for consideration. In this upcoming tender, we are seeking products for Turn 1 only.

Product specifications: Small VQA producers (annual VQA sales of 100,000 litres or less) are eligible to apply. Reds, Whites, Rose and Sparkling wines will be considered. Price range includes $12 to $20. Minimum case requirement – 50 cases. Products cannot be available in other LCBO channels such as LCBO Wines, Vintages or Direct Delivery.
