I’m very pleased to share that the LCBO is celebrating its 95th anniversary this month.

Established under the Liquor Control Act and opening its first stores in June 1927, the LCBO represented a significant shift for the beverage alcohol industry in Ontario. You, our valued partners, have been with us every step of the way.

It is astonishing to look back to the early days following Prohibition, when our main goal was to provide beverage alcohol that was safe to consume. Today, while quality is still at the forefront, we also prioritize customer experience, sustainability and selection, offering over 29,000 products from 80 countries around the world.

With the support of our partners, the LCBO is now a world-class retailer and wholesaler of beverage alcohol and one of the largest purchasers of alcohol products in the world.
