The LCBO Convenience Outlet Program (previously the Agency Store Program) provides socially responsible beverage alcohol retail access to communities that do not have otherwise convenient access to an LCBO store. Under the Program, the LCBO authorizes independent local retailers to sell beverage alcohol in conjunction with other goods.
The LCBO uses a competitive process (request for proposals) to ensure that LCBO Convenience Outlet Operators are selected in a fair and equitable manner. LCBO Convenience Outlet authorizations are awarded for a five-year term, with an option for an extension.
